Hello everyone! With the announcement of The Sims 4 going free to play on October 18, I wanted to start working on some Legacy Challenge related guides to post on the website. I have a list of guides that I want to post, but I would love your input on whether I should add others!

I have made a change to how the Random Trait Generators and the Legacy Challenge Rules work for the Sims 4. Since Teens can now roll for Aspirations that also include teen-specific aspirations along with the original aspirations from previous packs, it made sense to change the wording on when to roll for aspirations.
When a child becomes a teenager, roll for the teenager aspiration (ignore what the adult aspiration says for the moment) and go with whatever is assigned. If your teenager is able to complete their aspiration before adulthood, then you can either choose to go with a randomly generated adult aspiration from the generator next (to add some more randomness to your challenge) or do what has been done in the past and choose the next one. It’s up to you!
The rules have also been reworded to reflect this.
I am super hecking late in posting about this as the video released when I was dealing with some incredibly stressful real-life stuff, but I wanted to let you all know (in case you missed it) that Pinstar and I were featured on PC Gamer’s series “Tales From The Hard Drive” where we discussed the Legacy Challenge for the Sims and how it played an important role in our meeting and eventually getting married.

Hello everyone! We finally have a fix for the Random Trait Generator where it was not generating traits/aspirations if the child section was left blank. It should work as intended now.
We also have been able to add the Teen Aspirations to both the Random Trait Generator and the All Traits At Once Generator.
The traits that were added in The Sims 4 High School Years have now been added to the Random Trait Generator. However, I am having trouble getting the new teen-only aspirations to show up on the generator, so please bear with me while I figure out why it isn’t working! I am also dealing with a lot of RL stuff (illness of a family member) so this may take me some time to figure out.
I am trying to get back into the swing of things with this website as I have put it on the backburner a ton recently due to real life getting hectic. I am wondering what changes/additions/updates you all would like to see here?
I am currently aware and working on the issue with the Random Trait Generator not working for child traits.
I also updated the Generator to have an easier to understand list of Aspirations so that you can find which one you Sim received more easily in-game.

Hi everyone. I am so, so sorry that I am super late in getting this post out. I haven’t been great at checking comments here lately due to life being hectic. I only just realized that there was an issue with the Random Trait Generator not generating child traits. I have put in a request with our app developer to see if they can look into it for us.
In the meantime, the All Traits At Once Generator works just fine, so you can use that instead until we get this fixed. Sorry again about the huge delay!
Hey everyone! I know this is over a month late, but the holidays had us super busy over here. I have finally gotten around to updating the Random Trait Generator to include the two new aspirations that were added in the November 30th free update to the game (Neighborhood Confidante and Villainous Valentine)
