The Fantasia Legacy – Introduction

Well Simmers, I have a new Sims 3 Legacy up and running now that my Sims 2 game doesn’t seem to want to cooperate anymore.

To be honest, I haven’t really played much of The Sims 3 in the last year or so. I was so absorbed by my Sims 2 Legacy that I didn’t really have time to do much in the newer game. I have to say though, I really love the quality of life changes that the Sims 3 has compared to the Sims 2. It’s much more Legacy friendly and the open world really helps to cut down on loading times when going from one place to another. I’m looking forward to playing more of this game!

I will be playing this family in Twinbrook. I like that the town starts out a bit run down. It is motivating me to get my family to buy as many of the lots as possible so that I can update the town as my family’s wealth increases. It will be yet another way for me to track my family’s progress as the town will gradually improve as well.

Let’s get on with this introduction!

Fantasia Legacy Intro 1Meet Hermione Fantasia. If you haven’t guessed from her name, this family’s naming theme will be names from various Fantasy novels. The first and second generations will have a Harry Potter naming theme and we will go from there.

Hermione is much like her namesake. Her traits are: Brave, Bookworm, Good, Family Oriented, and Genius. Her lifetime wish is to become a World Renowned Surgeon. She is also a Virgo, just like Hermione from the Harry Potter series would have been (her birthday is September 19th which would make her a cusp Virgo).

Hermione’s favorite music is Classical, her favorite color is purple, and her favorite food is pumpkin pie.

I also gave her slightly pointed elf-like ears. I realize that Hermione from the book series doesn’t have Elven ears, but since I am going for a fantasy themed Legacy, I thought it would be interesting to see how long the pointed ears will stay in the family.

Fantasia Legacy Intro - 1.3As is typical for Legacy founders, Hermione isn’t starting with much. In order to ensure that I bought a 64 x 64 lot I had to evict he Pidgin family (sorry ladies!) as the only residents of that house, an elderly woman and her adult daughter, were not going to be helpful for my family in any way. After evicting them, I bought the lot and then used the Family Funds cheat to bring Hermione’s funds down to the usual $1800 (the large lot in Twinbrook is cheaper than the one in Sunset Valley, so that means you need to use this cheat to bring the funds down to the right amount).
Well, that about completes the introduction! I will post Chapter 1 tomorrow!

It *is* more legacy friendly, especially with Story Progression. Good luck!!! Don’t forget you influence the baby’s sex. Y the food you eat. No more fifty billion babies to get a girl.

ImaginingMystic

Haha well I’m not bothering with a matriarchy or patriarchy with this Legacy anyway, so it doesn’t matter. I’m going to try to avoid influencing the gender if I can. I like to be surprised 🙂
