Mystic’s Sims 4 House Builds – Rory’s Build Challenge for June 2017

Hello everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve built a house in The Sims 4 so I decided to ease myself back into it by tackling the latest #RoryBuilds Challenge! I loved the layout of this cozy little beach house so I thought it would be a great challenge for me to do. I am always on the lookout for more build challenges to try (it seems I can’t play any aspect of the Sims without doing a challenge of some sort… I’m an addict!) so if you have any recommendations be sure to let me know in the comments below! Now, onto the house tour!

As you can see from the picture above, I tried to add a tropical feel to the exterior of the house by adding palm trees and plants that look like they’d be right at home on a Caribbean island somewhere.

I didn’t really stick with the island theme inside the house, though I did try to stick to beachy/sea green colors. I really loved the layout of the great room. There’s plenty of space here for entertaining/parties even if the house is only suitable to having up to two Sims living in it.

Above is another view of the living/dining room side of the great room. I wanted to try to keep my decorations to a minimum (I didn’t want too much clutter since the house is already on the smaller side), but I really like what the painting and flowers add to the room.

Here is the kitchen side of the great room. I designed it to have sandy/beachy tones to it to compliment the sea green color of the living room. I’m also LOVING the new build/buy items that the Parenthood pack added to the game. Again, I tried to avoid too much decoration clutter to keep things looking tidy. That door to the right is supposed to be a pantry I think, but I couldn’t quite figure out how to make it LOOK like a pantry. So it became a nectar storage area (because let’s face it, who WOULDN’T want a wine/nectar storage closet in their house!)

The bedroom is again sticking to the sea green color scheme. I added lots of white furniture to give it a clean/crisp look. The room itself is quite large so I thought it would be nice to add a cozy fireplace and some seating so that your Sims could enjoy reading a book by the fire.

Finally, here is what might just be the biggest bathroom I have ever built, haha. I think I may have somehow messed up the dimensions of this house because the bathroom is way bigger than I expected. Again, sea green/white theme in here as well. Here is the bathtub/toilet side of the room.

And here is the shower/sink side of the room. I figured since I had so much space to work with that a double sink would work really well in here.

That completes the tour of this house! If you wish to download it you can find it on the Gallery!

Lovely house! The bathroom is so big, but I love it, would be nice to have all the space you need in there 😛 I really like the sea green/sandy beachy colors too. And I looooove the fireplace in the bedroom… I would love that IRL! You make great houses 🙂
