Mystic’s Sims 4 House Builds – SpringSim’s Build Challenge for July 2017

Hello everyone! I have to say, I’ve really been enjoying these build challenges that some awesome Simmers have come up with. I’ve already done RoryPlays’ July 2017 Build challenge (check out my house tour of it!). Now I have SpringSims’ build challenge completed as well! (Look for Ashaife’s challenge tour later this week!) These challenges have been great for someone like me who is really interested in building in The Sims 4, but is fairly new at it and trying to learn new things. I highly recommend you check them out if you are interested in building! Now, onto the house tour! The exterior of the house is welcoming and simple with lots of flowers to add color. I didn’t want to make the house’s color too vibrant because I knew that I wanted to include a lot of flora around the outside and I was worried the colors would clash. A simple beige seemed to work pretty well! Around the back of the house I have included a few garden plots so that your Sims can enjoy the outdoors while growing some of their own produce and flowers.

Upon entering the front door your Sims will be greeted with a small, but bright and welcoming foyer. The blueprint of the challenge shows that this room is relatively undecorated and has a closet, so that is what I decided to stick with.

Next up we have the kitchen and I think this might be my favorite kitchen build so far. I always seem to have trouble getting the layout of the kitchen right, but I think this particular kitchen worked out really well. There is plenty of counter space, it’s bright and cheery looking and there’s plenty of space for guests to enjoy their meal with your Sims.

On the other side of the kitchen we have a desk so that your Sims can get some work done in this colorful space.

Even though the hallway is rather narrow and small, I wanted to make sure to add some color and decoration to the space, so I added a thin carpet runner as well as some plants and decorations.

I definitely went much bolder with the colors in this living room more than I usually do, but I’ve been trying to branch out a little bit when it comes to my color usage in my Sims houses. I kept the walls fairly neutral, but the rest of the room is filled with teal and fuchsia, which I think work really well together. The painting on the wall really ties the colors together as well.

In the bedroom I decided to go with a periwinkle theme and I’m really happy with it. I’ve always wanted a bedroom painted this color in real life. Maybe one day I’ll do that! I also added a fireplace and an armchair to add that extra layer of comfort.

And finally we have the bathroom. Behind the wall to the far right is a shower stall. I added some plants for some greenery and decoration and also a large cabinet for storage. I’m slightly annoyed that the cabinets don’t exactly match each other, but otherwise I’m happy with how it turned out.

Here is a top-down view of the house in case you are interested in seeing the layout of this house compared to the blueprint!

I should probably make sure to add that to the post huh? xD

Hehe! I thought I overlooked it.

Which games are required for the full download?

Thank you for the info!

That’s a good question! I didn’t actually keep track of which packs I used. Let me check…

Parenthood
Get Together
Romantic Garden
Dine Out
Vampires
City Living
Cool Kitchen
Get to Work
Movie Hangout
Vintage Glamour
Kids Room

Woah. I didn’t realize I used that much. Your question brings up a good point though. Some people don’t have all of the packs. I think if you don’t have one, you can still download it, but stuff will be missing. Hmm. Maybe I’ll give myself a personal challenge in a future build to only use a couple of packs. I’m curious what I can come up with.

Thank you for taking the time to look that up!!
I am missing a couple of games.

Designing the interior using 1 or 2 packs would be interesting! I look forward to the next build!
