The 4th episode in my Movin’ On Up Challenge series on Youtube is now live! In this episode Arwen works on trying to become a vampire. After being bitten by Vlad in the previous episode, I decided that it might be fun to have a vampire in this challenge. I’m going to add an added bit of difficulty for myself and make it so that she doesn’t marry/move another Sim in or have kids. She will need to progress through the challenge with her income alone. Now that she is immortal, this is very doable.

Hey everyone! I mentioned last week that I would be moving the Novella Movin’ On Up series over to my Youtube channel as a Let’s Play. Today the first video in the series went up! In this episode you’ll be meeting Arwen Novella and checking out her first couple of days in this new series. The game hits me with a couple of bugs, but all in all it was a good start! Hello everyone! Sorry for the lack of updates on this story last week. I didn’t have as much time as usual to get posts up as I had houseguests. I’ve missed writing about Arwen! As you can see by Arwen’s face above in our last chapter we had a few issues with apartment pests, breaking objects (due to goblins), and not checking in at the right kind of park. However we struggled through and hopefully this chapter will go a bit better for our fearless founder.
Ahhh here we go. Another day in the life of Arwen Novella, a single social media grunt hoping to move up the ranks of her job so that she can escape a filthy, grungy apartment and move into something more suitable to her tastes. In the previous chapter, I had Arwen write a children’s book, but forgot to have her self-publish it until the following day, so that is what she is doing in the screenshot above. It will be bringing in a whopping §3 per day. We all have to start somewhere, right?
Hello everyone! Last week I introduced you to my new Movin’ On Up Challenge founder, Arwen Novella. This week will be taking our first look into her daily life at 1313 21 Chic Street where she will be living for at least the next Sim week or so.
A couple of things that I forgot to mention before we get started. The lot traits for her first apartment (two of which I chose) are Needs TLC (which comes standard with this apartment), Gremlins, and Filthy. So basically. This apartment is awful. I wasn’t about to make the challenge easier for myself by giving it two good lot traits. This isn’t SUPPOSED to be a nice apartment. So she’s going to be living in squalor for a while. Poor Arwen. Let’s see how she does!
After hearing back from several people that the challenge is moving too quickly after your Sim starts earning more money I have decided to make the following change to the moving to a new apartment rule:
You must stay in every apartment long enough to pay the first week’s rent. You cannot simply move into one apartment and then quickly move into the next if you can afford it! This will prevent the challenge from moving too quickly.
